Daily Journal: Days 19 and 20
Days 19 and 20 – August 11th
So we did our tourist days. We ventured into the city and we hit up a lot of cool places. Like I said in the blog before, we are writing music in Joliet during the days and touring the city at night. However today we went into the city all day. Oh lemme show you where we’re staying in Joliet:
So that’s Frank’s house. He’s really cool. His house is quaint and he has an awesome backyard. Plus, we’ve been eating 3 square meals a day. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten this much. Ever.
Oh so the weather is really nice up here but at night it tends to get a bit chilly. So we hit up the Goodwill to find some sweaters. We didn’t find anything cause the Goodwill kinda sucked. Abraham was the only one that ended up purchasing anything. Its a whole octave.
So we hit up the Art Institute of Chicago because we wanted to see a Diego Rivera piece. For some reason it took us forever to find it. They only had one in the whole museum. I’m not hating though cause we saw some great works of art from some amazing artists. If you’re ever in Chicago, make it a point to set aside $12 to cover the small entrance fee.
So yeah, we were in the city all day and night. We had a great time. Oh and we’ve been ending each night with some good ole Texas Hold ‘em. Travis is killing us. He’s won over $30 and we’re playing with quarters.
